MISSION
REACHING THE BROKEN-HEARTED is the desire or the heart of Jesus. Remember that religion is man’s way of trying to reach or get closer to God, but Christianity is JESUS (God) reaching man knowing that man can’t reach the standard and righteousness of God on his own. So JESUS made and is the only way for man to be saved. This is the grace of God, trusting in JESUS as Lord by faith to save us.

PREACHING THE GOOD NEWS TO THE POOR (POOR IN SPIRIT) is God reconciling us through JESUS. The poor are all of us independent of our social and economical status. Before making JESUS as LORD of our life, our nature is poor before God, because our nature or essence is sinful. For example, who taught a baby or small child to hit or bite another child? It certainly was not the parents. The reason that we do bad things is because it comes from our sinful nature, it’s not something that is taught, but the fruit of a sinner is sin, as a fish produces another fish and not a cat. The Good News is that JESUS is our solution. Romans 3:23-26
PROCLAIM FREEDOM TO THE CAPTIVES OR SET THE CAPTIVES FREE is a declaration of certainty or trust in what JESUS did to set us free from many things, but death is one thing that our nature has no legal right to overcome. Why? Because death is what each one of us deserves because of our sinful nature. The declaration to be set free from the power of death, which keeps each one of us captive or a prisoner, is the declaration or promise of JESUS, not only in words, but with proof since HE overcame or defeated death for us by resurrecting and fulfilling HIS word that HE is life.

RESTORE THE SIGHT OF THE BLIND is talking about each one of us, but I believe that 2 Corinthians 4:1-6 clearly reveals the heart of JESUS.
“Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we received mercy, we do not lose heart, but we have renounced the things hidden because of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world (satan) has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not preach ourselves but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.”

SET FREE THE OPPRESSED is how a doctor would carefully and loving take care of a broken-heart. JESUS wants to take care of our life with His perfect love that passes all human understanding taking away all fear and putting that special touch of HIS hand to heal up all the hurts and wounds of our heart. HE wants to bandage your heart with HIS special love, and HIS protection for your well-being. The health of your soul (intellect, will and emotions) is so important to JESUS, so why not let HIM take care of you?
3 John 2-4
PROCLAIM THE FAVORABLE AND ACCEPTABLE YEAR OF THE LORD is talking about a date; the year that was called Jubilee based on the principles of the Old Testament, but the reality of this acceptable year or Jubilee is not a date, but it is JESUS. HE is our Jubilee, which means, that all things are restored in our lives.
